Suspension Opinions Wanted

I'm thinking of getting Koni yellows for my CL-S.
Should I go ahead and get new springs while I'm at it?

Aside from lowering, will the springs improve handling?

Will the lowering make me more prone to rubbing/bottoming out?
I have 17x7 aftermarket wheels with a +45 offset.

Thanks for the advice.

If you are going to install Koni yellows, I highly recommend doing the CT springs as well. This will save you money in the long run because you will probably want to do them later anyway. I did CT springs/sways first. Then later I had the Konis installed. That cost me double for install and alignment. And yes, CT springs will definitely improve handling. But I also recommend doing the CT sways too to get the most out of the Konis and CT spring upgrade.

I have the CT drop with 18x7.5 +48 rims (plus 5mm front wheel spacer for BBK), running 235/40/18s tires and have no rubbing issues.

Definately change the springs. Comptechs are good, and so are the H&R's. I have those and they are pretty good. The drop makes the car look a lot better. And I heard that the Koni Yellows are the way to go. A Comptech or H&R drop should not cause it to bottom out. I run 19's in the summer and I haven't bottom out yet.

Change those springs.

I did the Koni Yellow's/Comptech Springs combo at the same time and i'm glad i did. I couldn't see any reason why you won't be doing aftermarket springs sometime down the road and like stated above they'll basically be doing the same amount of labor again.

Do it now and get rid of that 4x4 look while you're at it. And you definitely won't rub with that wheel setup.

H&R race I think are a bit much.....the H&R sports are great, though.
