Springs and coilovers
Hello everyone,
I've read a few discussions and I guess the debate between which springs are the best will never end.
I'm thinking about lowering my car. I live in the chicago area so it snows a lot. I was thinking about getting the Tein S-tech's.
I don't plan on adjusting the height so would getting coilovers be pointless? I just want to lower the car and leave it like that until it dies.
Am I gonna be good with the snow and the Teins? Should I expect any problems with the springs? Is that all I'll need?
Never dropped a car before so I don't know what I'll need.
Thanx

If you live in an area where there is snow, definitely go with coilovers so you can raise and lower your ride depending on the weather. I would recommend the Teins if you value ride comfort.

I had a Mitsubishi Eclipse in Chicago for several years with lowered HKS spring/shock combo non ride height adjustable. Used it all year like that -- only switched wheels and tires to get winter traction. Had a blast in the winter and summer.
Having said that, I just put ride height adjustable spring/shocks on my CLS and like it immensely. But...you have to ready to adjust your suspension when you change ride height and unless you know how or have a good connection at a suspension shop...
