Springs?

Hey all,

I'm planning on putting some Eibach 4041.140 pro kit springs on for a lower look, but I had a few questions.

1. I wanted to know if the stock struts will hold or blow out?

2. Does anyone know the spring rates?

3. How low will it go? (The Eibach website says conflicting things, sometimes front-2"/back-1.7" and other times front-1.5"/back1/0")

4. If I put on aspec wheels:
Size: 18X8"
Bolt pattern: 5x4.5" (114.3mm)
Offset: 45mm
...will it rub?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a noob...
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

1. If you have factory replacement gas struts they should hold

2. They're progressive rate springs so there is no one spring rate

3. Initial drop should be about 1.75"/1.25" but after settling you should be at about 2"/1.75" after a few weeks or a month.

4. You shouldn't from what I've read, but I'm not 100% sure

you'll likely rub on big dips with those rims. Roll the rear fenders and you're good.

You'll probably want some aftermarket struts. Tokico blues are cheap enough.

So I'm interested in these rims:

Aspec Rims
Size: 18X8"
Bolt pattern: 5x4.5" (114.3mm)
Offset: 45mm

Will they fit or will I need to roll the fenders? I really prefer not having to do any body modification. I also only want to drop it a tiny bit (not slammed, just enough to eliminate most of the wheel gap. maybe two fingers?). Will the eibachs work? What about F&F 1s? Some one told me that any coilover under $2k will eventually crap out. Has anyone had this problem? Should I just stick with springs?

with +45 offset you're going to clear the fender but 8" at +45 will add about .5" on the inside of the wheel well, may rub suspension components but should be ok.

Someone lied to you. Basically almost ALL full coilover systems for street are under $2k. The F&F T1 are softer springs... look at the "spring rates" thread for that info, but F&F have had great reviews.
