Something wrong with my springs....Please Help!

Within the last month or two, i have noticed that when i go over any sort of bump, speed bump, dip in the road, a squeek eminates from the car...esepcially the rear....it seems to have been geting worse the last couple weeks. Is there something wrong with my springs/suspension???....like even if i just open the trunk and then push down a couple times, as the car goes up and down on the springs its making a loud squeeking noise. Whats the deal with this, has anyone with comptech springs had this problem, and is it something major i should worry about. Any ideas or help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Same here. Upgraded to the new poly (black) bushings. Couple of wraps of teflon tape and no more squeaky squeaky.

If you want, I can check them out for ya tonight if you're free.

Just a simple drive around the block listening and I should be able to figure it out. Its possible its the sways, but it may be something else.

Exactly. I got the new black bushing (polyeurothane) from Comptech for $15 shipped. Fixed it right up. Clean the sway bar and wrap it with a few layers of teflon tape and you'll be good to go.

Well my boy over at Montclair said that the actual bushing itself appears to be ok, its just squeeking....should i still order the bushings or you think just wraping it will do the trick...and where did u get the teflon tape...home depot?

DOn't loosen the endlinks, or they will back themselves off (don't know how because its fucking impossible to do with tools) and start to clunk.

Check the bushings like Neil said, and maybe just tighten everything to spec and hopefully some noises should go away.

For $15 it's worth changing them out. Yes, teflon tape can be found at Home Depot. Look for a blue and white plastic case. Find the wide tape, ~1", it's easier to use.

Again, if you wanna come by and I can check it out and see whats making the noise. I'll be working on my car tonight so I'll be around. I've become a pro at diagnosing all the squeaks and rattle and clucks from the suspension and other spots.
