Sickest wheels on the CL period, ahem, RJ's DT3...

Whaaaaat, this is it, my favorite setup ever, 19" front DT3 wheels and 20" rears. liquid Silver centers with a chrome lip. These puppies are frigin sick looking in person, nothing beats a real 3 piece wheel. 245/35/19 up front offer the best traction possible without any rubbing at all ever.

enjoy:

Thanks yall for the positive comments...

possibly from the inner lip with the rivets, but in person they look just right. ALso, I went with 35 series tires on the 20" and a fairly thick sidewalled 245 tire on the 19", that gives the car a very comfortable ride considering the diameter of the wheels, but contributes to the illusion of them being a bit smaller maybe.
I can't count how many times I've seen 20" wheels on a CL that look cartoonishly large, these look proportionally suited. Then again, thats just my view.

thanks, you too.

You know, i had the Liquid Graphite / Machined face finish on before, and I really wanted something traditional and brighter after running black legend GT's for the whole winter / fall, I was ready for a dramatic look.

Thanks mang, the lip is chrome plated since it's a seperate piece all together, 100% reflective mirror finish. The rear lip is 3.25" deep, and I'm on the Neuspeed drop, its about 1.5-1.75" lower.

Thanks, and no, 245/35/19 on the front, 225/35/20 on the rear, both are on 52mm offset 8.5" wide wheels. The traction is great, I can rip thru 2nd gear with nothing more than a small chirp and a strong lunge.

Those are undoubtedly sick and I'm a serious minimalist-minded person when it comes to aesthetics. Those are the first wheels I've seen that I would actually put on my car. How much for that setup?

I don't like the tire size choice because you can actually see that the rear is narrower. The wheels themselves are hot though.

Just think of it as reversed staggered. But seriously, I opted for the 225/35/20 for the stretched look with 35 series sidewall for comfort. My next tires will be 245/30/20 and from what i can tell, they won't rub in the rear.

245 is a wide setup, but I suppose is fine on those 8.5" wheels. I think that will look awesome once the tires look more even.

Wow, sick set-up Ron! at a +52 offset on an 8.5" wide rim! My only gripe is that I think it looks a bit funny to have a 1" bigger rim on the rear, but a wider tire on the smaller front rim.

Man the tire shop must love you buyin the new tires all the time for your new wheels. Thats awesome though that you get to try so many since you make the wheels. Those are definatly nice but i could never afford over 4000 in wheels and tires

looking good....in the rear . im not a fan 2 different size wheels on a car, unless we're talking width. the 20s can sometimes miniaturize the 19s making them look like 18s. i know what your saying about some 20s looking too big, after i slammed my car, tucking slightly all the way around it made the legend2s look just the right size.

Which ones? There have been so many short run wheels, meaning I had them on for 1-3 months, barely any miles (I have 23k on an 03 CL), I'm about to start a sale page for wheels that have come off my car and show cars, barely any miles.

I like em! Not a huge fan of the different sizes though, I'd keep 19s all around to keep the sidewalls of the tires looking the same.

Honestly, I'm not feeling it. I really liked your last ones. The fronts look small, and I think the machine face with the painted inner spokes would look 100x better, like the last pic. Sorry

I know that the 245/30/20 will fix the misproportion of the tires from front to back. I really don't mind it so Ima run these thru. I liek these because of the fuller face look, with the sold color face and chrome lip, its just a bit more luxury than my usual wheels. Thanks for the comments guys!

Large lippped rims on most fwd cars look funny. If you have a nissan sentra are you going to put large lipped rims on it? probably not. Now, if it was the Z that's a different story. I think manufactures' are making a point when the rear wheels are larger than the front on their rwd cars.

I dont think it 'looks' any different personally....I feel that it's goofy as hell to throw skinnier wheels on the drive wheels.

I think someone who doesn't know cars may think it looks hot most of the time, but there's just something goofy about it to me.

naw. maybe its a bad pic that you saw or something. ive got a 52mm offset 8.5 inch wide wheels. with as low as i am i couldnt possibly have a lower offset. for a car that doesnt have much of a fender flare 52mm is perfect.
