rims/tires help

im currently dropped on B&G with Tokico blues... the drop is about 1.5" all around if i remember right.

anyways, im interested in getting new rims/tires. what would be my option in size that will not make me roll fenders or do anything else but mount them. of coruse they would have to look clean on my car too. two sizes i was debating between was 18x7.5 or 18x8... if i was to get either, which tire sizes would work best on it (without rubbing etc too).

thanks

What offset are the wheels? That will be the factor if they fit. If they are 18's I would only do a 235-40-18 as this is closest to stock you can get. I run these. But my rims are +48 offset so nothing rubs & no other mods are needed. Anything, +45 or below & you may have to make modifications.

everytime i go up or down a hill i would rub on the back wheels...or when im driving and there is a slight dip, i would rub too...whats wrong with my wheels! i only lowered on b&g and tokicos... 1.5"... dont know if 1 person in the back would make a diff...and the person wasnt even fat! someone was in passenger as well..but that shouldnt matter...totals to 3 including me.

heres a pic of the wheel on car... im checking these forums and alot of people said theyre not having problems with 18x7.5.... and at this point i dont know what my wheels are hitting in the rear? sounds kind of like a sharp/high pitched rubbing from the tires..not sure exactly where its coming from in the rear.. my tires are 235/40/17

you sure the offset is 48, that dsnt seem right that it would rub when others have bigger wheels in lower offset and say they dont rub. maybe a little neg camber in the back will help.

Odd. I've had 2 sets of 18"s both +48 & 8" wide with 235-40-18's no rubbing at all. I'm dropped about 1.2". Even with 3 people & a trunk full of luggage I don't rub.

My eibach sportlines drop lower then the B&G springs but i still cant see why you're rubbing on a +48 offset.

^ Me too.

With my 19x8.5 +40 offsets, I only rubbed before I rolled the fenders. I still touch the fender tabs sometimes on extreme turns or bumps, but Im too lazy to do anything about it.
