Ride quality Eibach Pro kit with dampers Part #4041.780
Hey guys, I did search quite a bit about this kit and didn't quite get all of my questions answered. This is the kit that includes the dampers, not just the springs alone.
Please chime in about your ride quality compared to stock. I have a 2003 Type S auto and really want to remove some of the fender gap without making the car ride too firm, making for bad ride quality.
I think the CL rides very well, and I understand when lowering a vehicle you are not using factory parts. i just don't want to feel like I ruined the vehicle. On top of it all hearing it from your wife is the worst. lol
Your help is greatly appreciated. Attached is a photo of my current ride height.
Thanks in advance

ride quality is just fine, it feels tighter, it does feel noticeably lower too, when trying to get out you really notice it. it no longer feels so loose or 'floaty' and more tight in the turns. I have no complaints on ride quality. my only complaint, which may not apply to you since you have an automatic, but the ride height is uneven on 6 speed CL's, not so much with automatics.
on a related note, i will be selling my Eibach Pro-Kit if you are in the market for it. Mine has less than 5K miles, only selling because of the aforementioned ride height imbalance and will be going with adjustable coilovers to correct this imbalance. For an automatic though, you should be happy with them.
good luck.

The Eibach Pro System will make the suspension firmer, but not stiff. I'd say it's a sporty ride that is fairly forgiving. The Eibach Pro Springs are designed to maintain ride quality while lowering the vehicle a reasonable amount.

Before my coilovers now I had eibach pro kits and tokico shock. The ride was excellent, little sporty, tighter on turns, but still a very comfortable ride. I was also on 18's. I drop is good about 1.5 to 2 finger gap if I remember correctly. I ran camber kit in the front though, rears didn't need them.

Update:
I installed this set (springs/dampers) with great success, the ride quality is very good. I have no regrets about installing with a set of 18" wheels.
The car is much more connected to the road and predictable. The entire driving experience has changed for the better. BTW, my right rear camber was out of range and required an adjustable arm on that side to correct.

Its funny you post this, because I was just thinking the other day that I am extremely happy with this kit. It seems to have softened a bit and is actually very comfortable. To do it again, I would not have done it any other way.
Then again if you are after your car looking "slammed" this is not the kit for you.
BTW, here are some recent photos. Just installed the brakemotive brakes today.

Just thought I'd chime in with my 2 cents - I put eibach pro dampers in my car which had eibach springs about 3 months ago. They were definitely an improvement over the 10 year old stock dampers, but still a bit floaty for my tastes. About a month after putting em in I ran over a dead buck in traffic, bottomed out on one side and blew out a damper and upper control arm. Decided to get KYB AGX to replace the one damaged one as I found them for cheap and figured I could tune the damper to match the other eibach which afaik are only sold in sets of four.
Let me just say, the difference between the eibach dampers and the KYB's is night and day. The fit and finish on the kyb's is nicer, the forks go on no problems unlike the eibachs which you had to fight with to get the fork on (at least in my case). And even when they are firmer, they just feel more quality and as such result in a more comfortable ride. And at the lower settings (3-4), they are softer and feel more controlled than the eibachs. IDK how kyb managed to make better shocks for eibach springs than eibach (well yeah I do, kyb is a shock company eibach isn't), but they did. I still have the eibachs in back, and they seem find back there, which works for me as I've read the rear KYB's have some reliability issues.
My advice would be to get just eibach springs, and get KYB AGX for the front, and maybe some tokico's in back. Probably what I would do if I were to do it again.

I like peanut butter
What about the KYB Gas shocks/struts? Any better quality there, over the AGX? I'm not big into mix-matching brands like you did. Even though 99% of the common public couldn't tell the difference, I prefer to keep everything matching. Don't even like having mix-matched tires on a car I'm driving. Anyways, I'm starting to consider lowering the car, and even though my '01 only has 54k, I wouldn't mind replacing the stock shocks & struts. Especially if I decide to put some aftermarket, or better factory wheels on my car. I'd probably be happy with the Eibach Pro Kit Dampners. More than likely I'll go with Eibach Pro Springs, as I've had good luck with these on different cars I've had over the years. I know Eibach is not really a dampner company like KYB, Billstein, etc., but they have to have some knowledge/engineering as to what works best with their springs. On my '94 Mustang GT, I didn't listen to the recommendations for dampners and went with Tokico 5-way adjustable Shocks & Struts to go with the Eibach Pro Springs.. and my ride quality suffered. So I'll listen to shops, like Excelerate above, that have way more experience with this stuff than I do.
