Refinish CL-S rims or stick with TL-S?

I bought a '01 CL-S a couple months ago that had some pretty badly curbed stock rims and bald tires. Having never owned an Acura before, I didn't realize the TL-S rims were different (rookie mistake, I know). I found a set of '03 TL-S rims & tires in really good condition on Craigslist with 80% tread for $450. However, I'm not sure I like the less-aggressive look of the TL wheels (plus they sit back in the wheelwell a little more since they're 6.5" rather than 7").

So my dilemma is this: pay $500 to get the CL-S rims completely refinished (will look new, I'm told) and sell the TL's on eBay? Or will it not look all that different, so suck it up, stick with the TL's and sell the CL-S wheels as is?

I know this really is a question of how much I want to spend, but I also want to make sure the effort is worth it. Thoughts, other ideas?

You're just going to end up damaging the CL-S wheels eventually. I'd stick with the TL-S wheels and sell the damaged CL-S wheels for $200.

Spacers?

Thanks all. Probably good advice. Should I put in spacers then to make the wheel sit out where the CL's would? If so, what size? (Logic tells me 0.5", but I really don't know about such things...).

Not necessary. Don't waste the money. Plus Spacers really should only be used if 100% essential.
