recommended psi on the tires
Ok, i tried searching, ,but got nothing. I got 16 inch stock tires on my cl-p and i just have a question about the recommended psi. The recommended pressure for the tires are listed on the side of the door pannel and it ways 32 on front and back wheels. But on the tire itself, it says something like 44 psi max load , or something similar to that. What does that 44 mean? i got an oil change done yesterday and the guy filled up air in my tires but when i checked it, he put way past 44.

44 psi is the absolute maximum pressure you can inflate the tires to safely...anything beyond that leaves them prone to blowing up! You really don't want them inflated that high.
Leave them at the 32psi!!!

ya for real, do what the side of the car says...Even though, my tires were at 32 psi and now I have to replace them because the insides and outsides are worn way down...AKA too low of air preasure, so I would go from 32 to 35...35 on the highway.

35psi is the standard the tire industry uses....if you want a little better gas mileage...you can run 38psi, a little less grip/performance....it does tend to wear your tires faster as well, i usually run 38psi when i do a long trip with a few people in back...(more air = high load capacity)...70-80% of Americans run their tires underinflated.
