Quiet & smooth tires?

I see lots of threads on what tires have the best performance. What I am looking for is, what tires are the quietest and give the best ride quality?
Thanx
Dan

I've had the Toyo Proxes T1-S tires and now the Sumitomo HTR+. Both tires provide(d) excellent rides and were quiet. The Toyo's cost a bit more than the Sumi's. Both, of course, handle better than stock.

Trust me, you have quiet tires already if you still have your stock Michelins.

I agree with the posts on the OEM's being quiet. Avoid any aggressive tread tire, particularly all season, such as the Michelin PilotSport AS, which is one of the noisest tires I have ever heard. The touring tires are much quieter. Check out the TireRack website with all its comments from buyers.

My T1-S Toyos are very noisy compared to the stock Michelins. But, they stick like glue. Tradeoff.
