Question PSI ? on New Tires

Okay, I recently got rid of my stock michelins after 33922 miles on my 2003 6spd CL-s. My question is related to psi used in the new Kuhmo ASX 235/35/17 that I got installed today at Discount Tire. The manager did not have an issue offering/ selling this tire size for my car. The car looks real aggressive with this tire size, however I notice on the paperwork that the PSI filled in the new tires is at 27psi all around.

Doesn't it seem to be to low of a psi for our car? What is the rest of the gang that has 235/45 series filling up their tire too? Please help. Thanks in advance

Yes, 32psi is normal tire pressure for 215/50/17(stock tire size), however I have new tires on the car and its 235/45/17. So my question is why did they aired them up to 27 psi. Is there any reason for this?

Hey dfv3.2CL-S can you post pics of your wheels. I'd like to see what that tire size looks like on a CL compared to mine. Sounds like that's the tire size everyone is saying to get.

I've got 225/45/17 and had to get 2 new tires and I've always run 32psi. But the shop I got my new tires from insisted that 40psi is the correct pressure to drive on. Anyone else think he's right cuz I don't.

Also, will 235/40/17 fit on '01 CL-S wheels?

They will fit, but why would you want that size? 235-45-17 is the correct size to use.

PSI depends on the tires. Start with the recommended PSI on the door jam label. Then increase from there until you get your desired feeling.

When I bought my 235/45/17 Fuzion HRi's, they had them aired with Nitrogen to about 40 PSI. I thought the ride felt funky so I dropped each tire to about 34. Haven't messed with them since, they wear great, and the car drives as it should.

They probably want you to have that low profile look.
