Opinions On Coilovers.........
Hey guys,
Right now I am running on a strut/spring combo....and looking ot upgrade to coilovers. Seen many different brands, but have narrowed it down to K-Sports & Teins. How comparable are the K-Sports to the Teins? Right now am running Tokico Illumina's with an Eibach Pro-Kit........looking for a stiff/sporty, yet comfortable ride. Lemme know what you guys think!
Thanks,
Topher

i have basics so i cant really express a personal expereince with those you mentioned but to me it would be a toss up, owners of both setups love them. if i were going to spend that much on coilovers id get the ksports over the SS. you say you want to upgrade to coilovers but essentially the only upgrade your getting with coilovers is the ability to adjust the ride height. like i said though basics are doing me just fine but if i were going up a notch in the price range i would go with ksports

if you daily your car, and don't care to be slammed, the teins will be much more comfortable. but if you could care less about the ride and want to be low-low then go with the ksports.
do you daily?
do you care about a smooth ride?
do you care about being as low as possible?

Daily driver - yep!
Smooth ride - Yep, but sporty
Low as possible - Nope, I dont wanna tuck em'! Im on 19's.......So no wheel gap will be great (how it is now in the pic's now)
I have heard about K-Sports being overlee stiff, and give a harsh ride, so I think you just answered my question bro!
Any other takers? LOL

Ksports FTW!
easy to adjust. Awesome RIDE. better price!
although i agree if you ARE looking for some kind of (any kind of) comfort. Coil-overs are stiff. Tein Basic's are much softer. IMO (atleast on my legend) i didn't find the ride to be harsh, its stiff. but i drove on the all summer DD. drove to TX (5000miles+ round trip). Defiantly performs excellent with them. i put on a total of 16000miles since may on my legend with the Ksports. I love em.

K Sports are firm and are track inspired. TEIN Basics/SS are more of a daily driver setup and can maintain OE ride comfort. If you want maximum lowering and don't mind the firm ride K Sports are a great bang for the buck. They are fully threaded like the TEIN Flex and come with aluminum upper mounts, damping adjustment and an average lowering range of 0.5-3.5"
