All,

I was cleaning my wheels on my new (used) 2001 CL Type S and noticed one of my 17 inch factory wheels is peeling. It looks like the clearcoat is coming off.

Anyone else had this problem? Do you think they will cover it under the manufacturers warranty?

Any help would be appreciated..

I have sort of the same situation. Some parts of my wheels have "rough " spots on them even though i zaino them frequently. Also the front of my bumper on the passenger side has a rough section on it. It still looks shiny, just feels rough as if the clearcoat was removed.

yup. the stock wheels on my 99TL and both my '01 CLS's have had problems with peeling.

Did the Acura dealer replace them under warranty? I expect that they will do that, or at least I hope..

i never bothered to ask. my local dealer sucks and claims everything that ever goes wrong with the car is my fault...

so i stopped bothering to go there for service or complaints after my last cl.

A little unrelated, but is there any way to clearcoat wheels after buffing out some scratches?
