Megan Racing Coilovers... Results

Alright well I know many of you will hate as usual on Megan, but I just have to say that I have done a bit of research on them and as it turns out, the coilovers they sell are actually made by the same company who makes the coilovers for Apexi.

They are just re-branded.

And as for the comfort and such, I installed them on the Supra to raise her off the ground (many again will hate that such a car with such "shitty" coilovers) and I must say that they are pretty nice.

Out of the 32 adjustable settings on them, I have them currently set to 30 and they are soft as hell. Very close to the stock suspension on any car. When you do the shock test, they bounce just like stock would. When set to 1 or 2, the car is stiff and you can feel every little crack in the road. Nothing special really as thats what the Tein has.

I have read on supraforums that people have had them for 2-4 years now with no problems what so ever. No leaks, great ride, and the ability to adjust them is great too.

So to stick my head out, I ordered a set for the CL. When I get them, I'll be installing them and giving daily driven results while also changing the dampening on them.

Came out to just under $1k for them shipped with them supposed to be here on Monday.

good to hear; if they're good enough for supras; they're more than good enough for CL's i'd say.

1) The price when I needed them for the supra. Came out to $890 shipped
1a) Price for the CL is a bit more since the company I got them from for the Supra has a contract with them to get the price down a bit and I had to pay shipping for the CL
2) The fact that they are made by the same company that makes coilovers for Apexi and that they are pretty much the same thing just with different stickers.
3) Everyone on here always says to get some of the more known suspension parts which cost more. I like to be different
4) I figured that if everyone says that they suck here (although they were not tried yet i dont think) while in other places they say that they are OK to great, I said what the hell, I need a newer suspension outside of the one that a friend is making for me since my stock shocks/struts are going bad and the Eibach springs that I have on the car were made for the heavier Auto tranny giving me a negative rake look. (yup.. gotta love run-on sentences)
5) Meh, If they come out to be pretty good for the CL, then its going to open up another alternative to drops for out cars...
