you can get higher into the rpm's gateshifting. but the #'s dont lie.

I am not really familiar with CL-S track times, but shouldn't your 60' times be lower? The (good) GTP guys usually cut around a 2.0 on street tires. What is your limiting factor? Traction? Lack of torque( I'd expect some torque loss with headers)?

weight and torque, or lack there of, are the biggest factors. the car is kind of a dog until the rpm's spool up, but it screams from 4800 - 7000 rpm's. i'm planning on getting a pair of lightweight rims w/ drag radials, this should help my 60' times substantially.
what is the e.t. for a 2.0 60' in a gtp?

The clubgp website is down right now, so I don't have any slips or verified numbers. In a stock GTP, a 2.0 should bring a 14.6-14.8. The limiting factor for the GTP is mainly traction. With 280tq stock, and MUCH more than that if modified, it is obviously going to do better in the shorter races. The best GTP pulls a 1.8 consistently, but he also runs a 12.33 and uses slicks after a massive burnout for traction.
My main question was: did the tires spin, could you not floor the car due to fact that the tires would have spun, or do you just not have enough torque to get a lower 60'?
Nice runs, a 14.3 is respectable anywhere

i launch the car w/ a slight torque brake, then mash the pedal before the green light. minimal wheelspin occurs, no wheel hop etc, the car hooks and goes. the low end torque sucks and yes this must be what is hindering my 60' times. my car shines in the second 1/8 mi, or from a roll.
