Lippstuh and Brianlin and anyone else who cut their bumper tabs...

I recently rolled my fenders because the rears where rubbing on most turns. The tires still rub on the bumper tabs. Is there any special way or trick to cut these or do I just go to town with the dremel?

TIA

I took a grinder to anything that was remotely in the vicinity of rubbing. I still need to do a little more but it doesn't bother me to rub only on inclines.

Just use a dremel and remove as much as you need.

Are you talking about the fronts or rears, or both?

Also are you going to the meet in Hampton coming up?

you could have just used the PM feature lol.

there is a metal tab that holds the bumper onto the fender. right at the edge, cut it off.

now the bumper if u see how ur wheel fits (it helps when you're slammed) you'll see the tire is close to the upper portion of the bumper tab, you'll have to cut a lot of it.

i suggest using a dremel then using blue tap all around your fender and bumper to see where you rub. drive on it with hard turns and dips (w/o damaging wheels). then go back to see if u rubbed.

good luck, and since i posted this, no more fitment PMs. sick of those.

right in the middle of the rear fenders there are brackets that hold the fender lining, that shouldn't be a problem but i cut that off.

if you look at the rear wheel and the rear fender, you'll see that it looks off, like the wheel is crooked. its not the case, the fender comes in more towards the rear bumper. so you have LESS clearance the area where the fender meets rear bumper.

so you got to watch out for that.

here's what i did

i placed the blue tape over the bolt that connects the bumper to the fender to show where i'm going to cut. i'm also relocating that same bolt by drilling a new hole a bit behind where it is now and using a smaller washer. it barely rubs for me right now but i am running 9.5 in back. you can also see where i cut a piece bumper using a utility knife.

i must also mention that i had the fender rolled and pulled.

hope that helps
