kumho 235/45/17 on stock wheels?
Will there be any problem with rubbing? Also if i hit a curb will the rim still rub. i'm not droping car, but have a bubble, so need tires fast. Are they good for winter, or should i go with 225/45/17 I read up on the kumhos in the board and noticed most people drive 225's wondering why.

A: On stock wheels with "reasonable" lowering -- should not be a problem...

A: I can only speak regarding the 235/45-17 Toyos and they "helped" the rubbing. I don't know HOW hard you need to rub the curb, but in my case -- the Toyos on stock rims -- I was spared from some very light curb "encounters"

A: Winter -- IMO, don't use 3-season tires in winter (NOT recommended...)
A: RE: 225s -- they are lighter than the 235s by a few lbs (if your into straight-line performance at any cost, you may care). I suspect the bigger reason has to do with the "recommended" minimum wheel size (of 7.5" vs the stock 7") and alignment issues reported with the Toyo T1S (on stock 7" rim). JZ just got some 235/45-17 Kumhos (on stock rims), and may be getting an alignment...

the stocks are all-season and the Kuhmos are 3-season. The Kumho's compound is *not* designed for snow and ice...

I have 235s on stock rims and my car is lowered but they don't rub at all. 235s are less than an inch wider than 215s. Some good all season tires are the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and Dunlop SP Sport 5000.
