I recently had Neuspeed Konis put on at a local shop. Whenever I hit a decent sized dip in the road, the rears make a horrible clunking sound. I never had this problem with the stock shocks. Also, I've noticed that when I drive over any imperfection in the road, the shocks seem to make noise. Does anyone know what can be causing this?
yes mine do the same thing, double check and make sure the bolts (the ones that brace the strut to the car) are tightend all the way. they came loose on mine but it still makes a noise if i hit a big dip in the road, just not the metal to metal banging noise i had.
I got Koni Yellows with Comptech Shocks and never had any clunking. I did the install myself and made sure I tightened all the nuts to spec. Make sure that nothing is loose.

This is great advice, I would definitely check and make sure everything is tightened up. Here's a similar situation that happened but with KYBs.
are you talking about this nut on top? ( in the 1st pic..) I just noticed in the instructions there are 2 nuts on top. 1 is for locking I suppose. I might want to check to make sure I got it installed. And I am pretty sure I did not tighten it down after it was installed and loaded.
