Smile HP Racing Rims and Nankang tires a good deal?

Hey all... I found a pretty sweet deal for 18x8 HP Racing Hyper Silver EVO rims that come with 225/40-18 Nankang tires for $899 on wheelguyz.com to put on my 2001 CL-S.

Does anyone know anything about Nankang tires? Are they any good? Anyone ever dealt with wheelguyz?

Thanks for the help!

Those are cool looking wheels. I like the lip. I've never heard much about the tires, neither bad nor good. If it makes you feel better, maybe you can pay a bit more and get different tires.

I have never owned Nankang's myself but hear that they are pretty good for inexpensive tires.

I had Nankang on my civic, and never had a problem with them and pretty sturdy too

did you this installed yet?
hey guys, don't we get the tires rubbing with 18 x 8s? even with a 40 series.
i've been looking for wheels and see 18x8 all the time but just ignore them. i've seen a few that i am considering that are 18x7.5. i wonder what'll happen with 18x7.5 and a +43 offset and 235 or 245/40 tire?

yeah i am looking at the HP split 5 but I don't know if they would fit. They are 18x8 with a 38 offset. Isn't that too big?

Yeah I did get the rims and they look awesome! They are HP evo's 18x8's. They dont rub or anything at all and look fierce on the car. I will take some pics and post em on here when I get the chance. I ended up with Ling Long tires instead of the Nankangs. They gave me these for the same price and they are Z rated. (225 40zr18s). I did have to order some center rings just to help the spacing so the rims fit better. But, they have been awesome other than that. The tires put out slightly more road noise but handle great. Guess I will have to see how they hold up! Check out the website where I got the rims... www.wheelguyz.com. They are in Miami.
