help ground controls squeaky squeaky
I got some used ground controls and koni yellows from raven (guy who pieced out his whole ride...) to go with the comptech sways i had ordered from vr forever long ago, and I finally got a chance to install it this past weekend down at my friend's place in richmond...
First off, wow, I can't believe how much of a difference changing out the suspension on this car makes, i wish i had done this way before the icebox, but on to the problem...
I have done some searching, but nobody seemed to really have any problems witht the ground controls as far as squeaking, but both of my rears are loud! I rode around with the back seat out when I first put them in, the fronts are fine, and I teflon taped the sways so I am pretty sure they aren't the culprits, although they could be too, but both of the coilovers are squeaking loudly in just the rear, is there anything to lubricate back there????
I dropped the front pretty agressively, but liked the raked look of the comptech so I have about one finger gap in the front and one and a half to two in the back, would this be making it worse?
Thanks for any help:
Short story: gc + ky = squeaky rear

No, the rubber isolators that are present on the stock springs. When I installed my H&Rs I transfered the isolators from my stock springs. This may be your culprit. They isolate any metal-to-metal contact on the first (bottom) 2-3 coils of your springs.
