Exclamation got a set of 18X8 wheels need tires help

i bought 18x8 wheels and would like to know what is the biggest size tire that i can put on without rubbing, i know 225/40R18 are the normal but i want some wider tires. and the rims have a 35mm offset

and im also dropped on tein basic full coilover about two inches will raise it of course if its too low

only +35? Seems like the better fitting wheels are +45 - +48.

I'm running 235/45/17 on stock 03CL-S wheels with no rubbing issues dropped on H&R/Tokicos. Not sure about that offset.

what do you mean only +35? its a good offset and will look much better than any thing in the +45 range.

he meant that if the offset is too low, then he will rub especially since he's lowered.

FYI, the best tire sizes are 235/40/18 first then 225/45/18. 225/40/18 is too small making the speedo run too fast. and 235/40/18 > 225/45/18 in terms of speedo accuracy.

I had an 03 CL-S with the 18X8.5 A-spec wheel with 225/45-18s. With Eibach springs I think it lowered it close to 2 inches, I would get a whee bit of rear fender rub with 4 people if I hit a good bump-otherwise it was fine. Not sure about the +35 offset.
