goodbye, 19s.... hello 18s.. need some advice.

okay, so im going from my 19x8 +45s to an 18x7.5.

the wheel is available in +35, +43 and +48.

when i put my vehicle in the little form at edgeracing.com, it lists +35 and +43.

considering the 'custom for acura' inspyre wheels from ronjon are 18x7.5 +50, i would think the +48 would be the best bet. make sense?

i was just trying to figure out why edgeracing would recommend +35 and +43 and not +48, when the 48s seem like the best bet.

just wanna make sure im on the right track here. thanks guys.

48 is the best bet ..the 43 will fit but you may or may not rub if your fenders are not rolled and obviously 35 is a big no no

Keep it man, just buy a high mileage 6 speed. These motors last forever.

Little Brad, why do you want to get rid of those 19's already? They look so good.

I said it once before and I'll say it again... I swear those are the best looking wheels I've seen on a 2nd gen CL IMHO.

yeah dude... due to the shit ass roads where i live, 19s with 35 series tires didnt last long. i LOVE how the car looks with them on it, but i just can't drive it anywhere without ruining the wheels.

going with 18x7.5 5zigen gravis 1s.

and you guys should already know my shit is slammed as it is right now. thats not gonna change. slammed is the only way.

for those too lazy to look these wheels up...

i'll miss my 19s but i think these are a nice compromise.

make sure you ensure the offset is @least +48 in order to fit a 235 tire.

If you run 235's with +45 offset, you will NOT be able to slam it, @least from my experience (although I don't know how stiff the omni's are).

thread re-birth... i know. i FINALLY made the transaction to sell my 19s and am getting ready to buy my 18s.

i ran 235/35-19 on my 19x8 +45 wheels and i rubbed a bit. nothing too serious.

im planning on running 225/40-18s on my new 18x7.5 +48 wheels.

LB, I think with that size wheel you should be able to run a 235 tire w/o rubbing.

I think we need Brian to pop back in here and verify but I think you'd be ok with the 7.5 and that 48 offset.

Did you have to roll or trim to fit the moda's?

I rubbed on 235 series, but I remember you rolling your fender so you should be fine. 235/40/18. I run 225/40/18 now.

235 series tire on that width and diameter would be 'recommended'; but last i remember correctly brad, you were tucking on your stock wheel setup, no?

here's a picture what 235/40 looks like on an 18" wheel:

i don't know if you've changed your ride height since i last saw you post pics, but i think with your drop a 225/40 might be better.

i duno man, brad's car looks lower than yours even.

brad: i'd run 235 for more protection; but if you're confident your fenders are rolled back enough for clearance then just get 235s.

honestly, my fenders aren't rolled that much. i think i might play it safe and go with 225.

and yeah, my car is pretty low. its the same height its always been.
