Fake Teins!!!

I bought some Teins S-Techs from ebay @ 3 months ago and just now am gettng around to installing them. The place I'm having my tint done (Pro Image in Vancouver, WA) initially quoted me $175 to install lowering springs, but balked when I told them they were Teins! Basically, they didn't want any liability IF they were fakes.

So I found this web page and will check them out when I get home tonight.

Any body here end up with fakes?

I heard from someone else here in SJ about some fake Teins on Ebay & was leery about purchasing them . Decided to go to a local store & got them for $220. Also made sure that they were the real deal by following the info given by Tein at their website. Hope all goes well with your install ...mine didn't go too well , but it was due to other issues & not the springs...

I find it amazing there's a black market for counterfeit lowering springs.

Not Fakes!

Good news...at least for me. My Teins are NOT fakes. The link I posted above (from Tein's site) contains great imformation so if you got Teins, be sure you check to see if you got ripped off! They might even be unsafe!

So...new tires and 18" wheels (see Avatar) go on tomorrow; Tein S-Techs get installed on Wednesday and 20% tint on and the badges off; on Saturday! Woo-hoo!

Good luck all

About 60% of the TEIN springs on eBay are fake. You should always buy from an Authorized Dealer.
