Different Comptech Spring Issue

i noticed the other day that my rear passenger wheel looks almost tucked under the quarter panel and my driver side i a drop higher

so i checked both springs, none are rusted or broken

but in fact the rear passenger has 6 coils bunched on top of each other and the rear driver side has 5 coild bunched

anyone else have this problem?

I saw this on another member's CL. He had the newer springs and the drop in the back was so severe I actually wondered if they had installed the springs in reverse or something. The drop was lower than any other spring I had seen to date.

What's up with these guys?

If they are the new CT springs, they are much lower. Something like 1.8f/1.5r. Basically the same as the Eibach pro-kit.

My car always sat lower on the passengers side rear with the Comptech's.
I never understood why.

It keeps getting better everyday with the springs news....Am i going to have a rubbing problem if i ge the "new" CT spring installed with stock CL-S rims & tire size ??

Not to mention ...is a camber kit now needed for these "new" CT springs ???

you wont rub w/ stock tires and i would only get a camber kit if the wheels look off center and cant be re-aligned

I have had that very same concern since I had mine put on. Talked to the Service Manager yesterday at Tischer and he retrieved the alignment spec sheet after the 4-wheel alignment was done after the install and he told me that I was a +1.3 all the way around (which I believes means I'm +.3 out of spec) and he told me that a camber kit wouldn't have any significant affect. So I'm gonna be watching closely. I'm in the process of posting some new pics which will be in this forum shortly.

Yes, thanks Y2K3CL-S that will be great info.

Were you withing the warranty period for the CT springs that you replaced and how did the dealer handle it for you? Thanks.
