Cusco Strut braces

I was looking into these:

http://www.heeltoeauto.com/cusco-fro...2-475-a.2.html

http://www.heeltoeauto.com/cusco-fro...2-540-a.2.html

And I was wondering if they were actually worth the price. Would they reduce understeer or would they be a waste of money? I'd plan on using these with a progress rear sway bar and the stock strut tower bar. Speaking of strut tower bars, are the Neuspeed or Comptech ones better or should I just stay stock with them?

I have that cusco front lower bar. The 2nd one you posted would replace the stock strut tower bar. Same with the comptech one. The neuspeed on the other hand can be used along with the stock bar.

I put on a 4 point ultra racing brace(for 98-02 accord) on at the same time as the cusco bar so can't say for sure how much difference the cusco made. I think the 4 point bar made the most difference. You can also use a rear tie bar for the accord.

With the cusco lower bar or 4 point ultra racing, you lose ground clearance and might not want to do it if you are slammed over 2" inches.

I'm not slammed as I have about 2 fingers of fender gap (which I'm fine with) I just wanted to stiffen up the chassis a bit. So would the Neuspeed strut brace be a good choice for stiffening the chassis along with the Ultra Racing brace? I'm trying to get rid of body roll as much as possible. My RSB is in the mail right now so would the progress RSB, 4 point brace, and neuspeed brace really make a difference?

I think they are worth it. What suspension setup do you have, coilovers? I would put most of my money into a quality coilover system.

I currently am lowered on Tein S.Tech springs and Tokico blues. That link you just posted looks interesting. Maybe usable for the CL?

When I emailed them it does the same thing as the Cusco os strut bar but it's adjustable. They recommended going with the cusco os strut bar over the as

I know one of the Cusco strut bars can be used with the stock strut bar. For that reason, I prefer the Cusco or Nuespeed (which is what I have) bars over the comptech. I figure 2 bars are better then 1.

I noticed sharper turn in and respose when I added my bar. The only suspension mods I have is the Nuespeed bar and H-tech springs.

I agree. My 4 point lower bar and rear sway bar make the most difference.

I went with comptech stb for bling factor, plus it is light. It also has the 2 arms that connect under windshield like stock bar also. 2 bars might be overkill and just adding unneeded weight. Not sure tho.

Does the 4 point lower bar require modification to fit or is it a straight bolt on?

I also agree, I did notice a difference but it was very slight. The big difference is in the RSB. The upper strut bar does make for good engine bay eye candy lol

It needs slight modification to fit the accord one. I have what is needed and pics in my build thread linked in my sig. You basically need to cut down one of the corners of a bracket to fit inside the frame rail. The frame rail on the left side of the cl has a lip that the accord does not. You need to cut down that lip where the bar is in one spot. That is all.

i had both the upper and lower tie bar. The lower tie bar actually broke on me when I was driving through a dip going up a hill. At this time I had the Tein S-Tech springs.

Just found out that was it was broken in two after I had my coilovers installed today

I have yet to scrape my lower bars but I am careful of where I drive. If an incline is too steep I don't bother going that way.

I wouldn't put the bars on a daily driver that is lowered.

how far does it stick down? and why would an incline be a problem? (just curious)

ChineseGuyinthe415,

Where did your bar break? Weld point or the actual bar it's self?

When I hit an incline, the suspension compresses and the brace smacks the pavement. It snapped in the middle.

Was wondering for a while why I heard scraping noises sometimes but not at the wheels
