Correct Tire Size to go on a 17 x 8.5 wheel?

Is their a site or anyone know the proper dimensions for a wheel with those dimensions, and I don't want it to look like the tire is shitting out the wheel (looks so stupid) so no stretch look.

btw, a +42mm offset should sit pretty flush, and would I need to roll the fender?

235/45/17. you'll need to roll rear fenders if your lowered.

Im running a 235 on my 8.5 inch wide wheel. I would go up to 245 if you can without rubbing issues. If you dont wanna roll fenders id say just stick with the 235. Whether or not you will rub I cant say for sure it matters how low you are. You can always put a little negative camber in the rear if you need to.

like a 255 tire would easily fit on that rim, by the tire manufactures specs, but where you are going to run into issues though is with that low offset and rubbing, but yeah a 235 sounds about right for also not having that stretched look
