ksports squeek, but i usually drive with windows open or music loud enough that it's not noticeable. it's only if you're literally driving with windows up and no music that you'll hear squeakage.

in fact i haven't noticed it in awhile.

i've read though that there is a fix on getting rid of the squeaking noises by buying spring isolators or something from the acura MDX (available at dealerships) there's some threads about it.

Coilover dampers should last just as long as a regular damper, between 50-75k on average, but it really depends on the driver and driving conditions.

If you want a spring/shock combo look into TEIN, H&R, Eibach or Tanabe springs with TOKICO shocks.

on my buddy's supra running ksports, the coilovers are insulated (rubber), and they did not clunk at all on any bumps we encountered on the road...

on my previous setup on my cls with TEIN SS, they did clunk on certain bumps in the road...is this because of the insulation issue? not sure if this is a legitimate reason...can anyone chime in on this? might be useful to OP also...

what do you mean by "insulated" and "clunk"? spring squeakiness comes stictly from either the top or lower mounts, nowhere on the actual spring nor strut does this noise come from. my buddies old mustang with eibach springs and i forget but adjustable struts squeaked all to hell. im thinking it comes from the upper mount/top hat is. i just got some Tein basics on mine, no noise whatsoever and i still have the backseat removed (if there was any minute noise id really be able to tell now) IMO its all on installation and if you torque everything down correctly

shiat, my eibach pro kit with stock shocks squeek now, im guessing its because of the weather being so cold? It never did that in the summer. =\, I also need new shocks soon..

I'm running Tein SS coilovers with pillow mounts. I get a little "clunk" over sharp bumps, but no squeaking.

There is always a trade off for performance, I'll put up with a little clunk for because of the much improved handling.

tein basics-pretty quiet. i noticed some slight squeaks on certain bumpbs with my stock setup thoguh so in prespective its actually less than stock

love them by the way!

what i did is take the shot piece of rubber from the stock setup and put it over the top as added protection to help out with bottoming out etc. my mechanic recomended after years of working at a place that did civics and stuff. it cant hurt and it just adds a small amount of rubber protection in addition to what the teins come with.

My ToKicos are noisy as hell in the rear. Its unbearable when dialed to a softer setting. Tokico confirmed they are just noisy.

Same here. It did clunk a little when lowered but its more frequent now. It sounds like the spring raises off the mount and slams back into it when the suspension returns. Does that make sense, I thought i would have less noise since the spring is more compressed since the car is raised.

This noise is driving me crazy. Is there anything I can do?

My TEIN SS-Ps are pretty quite, the driver's side front squeaks a little sometimes, but it's pretty rare.
