cl-s w/ 301 hp @ the wheels?????
I went to the dealer yesterday to pick up my plate and the guy who put it on says he got some thing put on his car by acura racing or some shit. I dont remember what he said it was but he says they are not available to the public. He described this mod as a box or something that raises the rev limiter, shifts harder. I had no clue what this guy was talkin about
He says he runs 14.1 in the 1/4 and dynoed @ 301 hp. Next time i go to the dealer i'll get more detailed info. But does anyone know what this mod is.
BTW, his cl was sweet, 01-02 w/ 18's wrapped in s-03's and a comptech exhaust.

A 14.1 might be possible with 301 crank HP. But 301 WHP and only turning a 14.1 would be pathetic.

honestly that seems pathetic but reasonable.... i mean, you got a heavy ass car and fwd so the 60' times probably wont change much and you gain the 6-9 tenths up in the higher rpms with that much extra power. does that sound about right or do i not know what im talking about?

It would be entirely possible by completely botching the launch. What I was trying to point out is that the 301 number was probably crank HP.
Short of a blower or nitrous, you are not going to get what I would guess at 70+ WHP (assuming he had the other standard mods, I/H/P) from a simple 'box' which would have to be soemthing to do with the ECU based on what was mentioned. At most, 10 WHP could be seen by adjusting the timing and fueling by reprogramming the ECU.

14.1 is possible with those big 18 inch wheels. The rotating mass will definately slow the car down, and probably make the launches more difficult.
Oh, and I'm new to your board, I don't have a CL, but I think they are VERY nice cars.

There are guys who are dynoing a lot less then 301hp at the wheels and are running low 14's. Personally, I think the guy is full of shit. If you see him again ask him (nicely.. like you're curious) to see a dyno. Also ask him why his quarter mile is so slow when some near stock CL-S' are running mid to high 14's.....
