38 offset with 17s

Let's say I don't know SHIT about rims. I found a topic with 20s and and offset of 38 and people said it would rub.

Now, ist possible to have an offset of 38 on 17 inch rims and not rub?

Sorry, don't know anything

The CLS should have no lower than +42 for an offset, and that is cuttting it close. +55 is the offset for the stock 2003 rims.

i had some +35 offsets on my 2003 cls and without a drop i had no rubs...

if you drop the car with a smaller offset i know from experience that you will rub...

hope that helps...
