They'll fit, but they'll buldge and look kinda goofy. 245's are usually reserved for 7.5 or 8" wheels. 235/45/17's would work much better, and the speed owill be dead-on.

245's have fit before but it looks weird and it just doesn't seem safe. 225 is the max recommended for a 7 inch wide wheel but 235 is acceptable. A dead on speedometer is nice, compared to my smaller overall diameter with my car thinking I've driven more miles than I really went, adding extra mileage...
