235/45-17 Performance Budget Tires

I'm looking to buy a set of new tires for my stock rims. I'd like something with decent wet traction and great good traction. I take it to the drag strip every now and again but that's the most track action it sees. I use this car to drive maybe 10 miles a day from my apartment to school and back and for the occasional run through the mountains out here in western Virginia.

I'd like to keep the price at about $100 a tire. What have you all used that's worked out for you?

I've been looking at the Fuzion ZRi's, they seem to have gotten decent reviews.

Any thoughts are helpful.

P.S. Snow isn't an issue, I can catch a ride with my roommates on the days when it snows. Thanks for the help.

I hear really good things about general exclaim uhp's. I am getting them for my next set and in this size they are just under 100 bucks a peice. Read some reviews, probably best bang for buck overall.

Riken Raptor ZR.

Had a set of those (one ended up being defective) but overall they were good tires. Great grip and half-way decent tread life. They're actually made my Michelin if I remember correctly.

Try "Sonar Ultra Sport SX-1", awesome wet or dry handling and they're not loud when it comes to road noise

I had Fuzion HRI and ZRI B4 i got these primewell PZ900..

I had Fuzions on my car and hazard insurance at firestone.. Last time i went there they no longer stock fuzions and these pz900's took there place.
I am happy with them so far i put about 5k miles on them and they are holding up well.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll take a look at them all and decide which ones I'm gonna purchase and let you all know how they turn out. Thanks.

I dunno if you will see $100 but sometimes Discount Tire will work with ya on price. But I'd look into the Yokohama S-Drives.

I loved my S.Drives, they are much better then my current Kumho Ecstas.

I ran BF Goodrich g-Force Sport tires on my stock wheels for a while. Ive ran them on the CL, my old Prelude and my old Civic. For the price, I loved them. They werent as good as the S.Drives, but they were decent.

I got them at Costco. They offer lifetime rotation and balancing for the life of the tires. Id look there if you want to save money and any headaches you may have down the line.

Ive heard great things about Sumitomo HTR tires, they have long tread life and excelent wet/dry grip. I think the HTR + is a all-season tire too and thats around $100 a pop
