235-40-17 tires.. would they be ok?

I recently bought 235-40-17 Kumho Ecsta All-Season Tires...
I lowered my car with eibach springs.. got the tires from tirerack..
they called me because they never tested the tires on CLs, and they said
it might rub and cause several other problems that I didn't even bother to listen..
would 235-40-17 be ok??

i had the exact same tires on my stocks, but i was much lower. you certainly won't rub, the only problem is your speedo will read a little fast and you will rack up additional miles on your odometer.

i figured it out before and for every 16 miles you drive the odo will rack up an extra mile.

the change in gearing will also make your car a little quicker.
