Yup that's perfect fit

Go with 225/40 18 tires and you'll be good to go.

I have the same setup.

on a 8" wide wheel, don't you think 235 would be better, closer to overall diameter of stock, granted its not as sporty looking, it'll def be a bit more comfy and mnore traction.

I would definitely go with a 235/40 tire...would look much better and perform better with the 8" width.

You should have no problems at all with that setup. What kind of springs do you have? Also, which wheels are you thinking about getting?

Agree you should have no clearance issues. Run a 235-40-18 tire. The fitment problem isn't the rim width. It's the offset. Running anything below a +45 you risk rubbing. You have a +50 which as stated before is the perfect offset for the CLS.

+50 would be better than a +48...the closer to stock the better.

The +48 would make the wheel stick out past the fender a tad more then the 50. It's so small a difference you wouldn't notice it though. The high the number the more the wheel will tuck under the fender. The smaller the number the more it will stick out.

Offset Calculator

Here is an offset calculator which will help you out with all of your questions. It's very easy to use and tells you exactly how far your wheel will extend out.
