18 x 8 Wheels and rubbing question??

Can someone give me a hand?
Will a 18 x 8 rim with a 45 offset rub?
I want to use 225/40 tires and have Comptech springs.

Thanks!

And the answer is: PROBABLY NOT.
You may need to get your rear fender lip rolled.
Comptech has a CL with 225/45/18s with no rubbing. I don't know what their rim width was or offset.
I have 225/45/18s with wide S-03s, 18x8 45mm rims and no rubbing with NO drop. I am about to install Koni Yellows and HR OE Springs so we'll see after that.
Because of your wide rims, you may rub. If you do, it will most likely be on the rear fender and if you roll that lip, then you should be okay.
Best of luck and let us know how it turns out!

Nicky,

What's the offset on your Hagens?
On Axis' website the 19x8 they list has an offset of 35.
Is this true and are you rubbing at all?

The reason I ask is that i like the Neo but was weary of the offset.
Thanks!

I have some SSR GT1's 18x8 with 225/45's lowered with eibach pro-kit springs and I do rub on occasion, but nothing to be concerned about. I love the handling, so I can live with some rubbing once in a while.

His offset is 45, just like my Se7ens. The Axis website needs some updating.
