Warranty question?
My tranny is about to die, I went to my mechanic he said that I need warranty papers, my car has only 40000 miles, but my question is where do I get the papers from and am I covered under the 100,000 mile tranny warranty or do I have to send something in, or is every car under the warranty no matter what, I dont want to deal with acura thats why im not goin to them.

I don't think you need *any* proof-of-warranty documentation to support a warranty claim in this situation.
But I don't know how an independent (non-Acura) mechanic or shop would file such a claim, or if Acura would ship him a new tranny. I think it's his job to sort this out, not the customer's.
The Acura Safety Recall paperwork for an earlier tranny problem says "You must return the vehicle to an authorized Acura dealer to have the recall completed, free of charge, even though you had the transmission repaired previously."
Here's an Acura (Honda) number on that recall bulletin: 800-382-2238. I don't know if it will help you, but you might call it.
As I posted here a few minutes ago, my CL got a new tranny yesterday, at 35K mi. The work was done by an Acura dealer. The process was painless and didn't cost me a dime; even the rental car was covered by Acura.
In other words, I'd have major warranty surgery like this done by an Acura dealer. If you don't like the one closest to you, call several others until you find one that sounds right.--MFT
