Warped rotors or torque steer?

Warped rotors or torque steer?
So ive had this problem with my cl since I got it but not as severe as it is now, come to think of it when i got my cli did not have this problem. Anyways everytime i brake the steering wheel shakes back and forth and yes i can feel the brake pedal lightly pulsing. By now i would have figured that m y rotors are shot but looking at the FAQ about cl's something was stated about steering wheel shake that seems like its rotors but isn't. Is there anyway to diagnose this before i trial and error with rotors? My steering and overall handling is very crisp and precice even with miniscule movement with the wheel which is what makes me think rotors........any ideas?

Lol i like the way you think, im gonna get some r1 drilled and slotted rotors with free pads for 220 and call it a day....if they warp and get screwed up, its bbk time lol. theres no reason why my steering would be messed up the car has a clean title except for the replaced tranny

Your rotors are definatly warped. It happened to me before. Just make sure the rotors you get are drilled/slotted. If your steering wheel still shakes after that, then you need an allignment.

Well, I would say they are warped. If you're braking, it's kind of hard to declare torque steer. Torque steer only happens when you apply torque, ie the accelerator.

Have you had an alignment in the recent past?

I replaced mine with drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. All shaking problems eliminated, worst thing that happened however was when i took off a caliper bolt and the threads inside the caliper came out with it....that was a lot of fun to drill, tap, instal new threads so that i could use my stock bolt. Also cost me thirty dollars for the kit which happened to be missing a tap handle and the 1/2in drill bit lucky for me i had the bit but no handle so I used a ratchet and a bit that fit snugly around the tap hahaha

On Chodthewako's faq cl page it reffers to the steering wheel shake not being warped rotors but rather what he calls "torque steer" which did not make sense to me because torque steer happens when you floor it from 0 not when hitting the brakes..is there some underlying problem with our steering systems i dont know about?
To ARP make sure you torqued your wheels on correctly and at 80 ft lbs

Just about any auto place honestly, but if you want to save like 15-30 dollars just rent a torque wrench from autozone and do it yourself, when you bring it back they refund you the cost of the wrench

I'll probably just go to an auro shop. I really dont want to have to do it myself. I dont want to mess up. So if this doesnt do the trick, I'll probably just get an alignment. Thanks.
