Transmission vacuum hose

Transmission vacuum hose
Hello again, hope you guys enjoying your holidays.
I have 2003 CL AUTO and just randomly noticed an end of what appeared to be a vacuum hose hanging down from the engine bay, I poped the hood and traced the hose to the top of the transmission housing. I've looked in the repair manual to find out where it is supposed to go and the only vacuum/hydraulic hose mentioned in the manual is the one that is connected to the front motor mount. I looked under the car and was able to trace the metal hose from the engine mount to a rubber hose; so it appears that is not the issue. Can anyone tell me what that hose is? Is it transmission fluid overflow hose and it's supposed to be not connected to anything?
Also, in the process of looking for things I couldn't help but notice transmission oil leak around a rectangular bracket with pistons in it. I took it off and didn't see any gasket between the bracket and transmission housing, which is surprising to me.
Anyways, the car drives just fine with the usual "sometimes" sluggish upshifts but nothing really major. It doesn't slip at all. I've included the pictures. If anyone could shed some light as to what I am dealing with here would be great. Thank you!

In the first picture, you are mentioning the linear solenoid housing. There should be a gasket under there. If you want to order it, the part number is 28252-PAX-000 and will be under 5 bucks.
I can't see where the top if the hose goes in the last 2 pictures. It looks like it hangs down, above the linear solenoids? Is it coming off the throttle body?

thank you for that gasket part number, I will get it this weekend.
"the hose" attaches to the top of the transmission housing as seen in pictures and runs behind the engine and just hangs loose between the engine and the firewall. The other end is free, not attached to anything. That is my questions, where is is supposed to connect to.
