One of my boy wants to swap the motor (power seat) driver side to the passenger side sit just to adjust the way I want it and then swap it back. Its annoying it was working fine this past weekend, I'm so pissed!!! Thank you anyways for your time..

There should be a plug on the bottom... It was loose a long time ago and the seat would act funny sometimes and so I pushed it in more and its been fine ever since... I dunno if that helps?

I just lost the power in my seat too. I pulled a plastic bottle that was wedged underneath, then it just clicked and didn't move. Luckily the seat was all the way back so I could see under and was able to just push the plug back in.

Same thing happened to me....... I leave the car at the dealership to replace tranny # 2 and get it back to find my seat standing stiff up..... will not recline at all.

Of course they refused to take blame and when i asked how much to replace? They just said "expensive"

I've tried to mess around and didnt get any good luck. My brother pulled the back panel on the seat to check if there was something stuck and didnt find nothing. It's weird because I hear more clicks (noise) than before I'm hoping maybe the next few days will work......

I will keep you guys post knowing that theres few members here with the same problem ;-)

This is one solution, it is simple, and cost efficient.
Find a cl replacement seat from a auto wreckers.
take out your existing (non-working) seat, and replace with the new/used
seat which you have purchased. very simple procedure, unscrew the 4 screws, and disconnect the cables, and opposite to install. Z

I found a A- seat, mine which before would be a C+, in all $174.54 spent

Me too, me too

My passenger seat just failed on me this past weekend! It was working fine and then all of a sudden -- no forward or backward motion. The switch will still adjust the back of the seat and the side lever still releases, but the motor will not power the seat forward.

I was thinking it might be a fuse because the tilt went out in the mirror at the same time. After a little research I think it might be off center in the adjustment switch. I guess I'll find out in a little bit.

Other than to start combing junkyards, does anyone have any suggestions how to fix the passenger seat adjuster? Getting aggravated!

Found out it was the motor. I called the dealer here in Boston and they charging me $96.25 for it plus labor. Few friends had mention to me that the TL has the same exactly motor for it, so if any of you guys have been searching (YUNK-YARDS) dont hesitate to purchase it because TL are more popular than CL of course TL's 99-03...

thanks for the heads up SIK, im sure thats the problem in my pass seat, should buy an extra motor, I would be pissed if my seat got stuck all the way at the front when loading something in the rear, and look like a penis driving down the road, with seat all the way up.

I just fixed mine yesterday.
turned out, it wasn't the motor. the motor worked fine.
It was the whole rotating mechanism that was rusted because i guess the previous owner had it in one place for ages.

I used some PB penetrating spray and broke the rust down. the sprayed it w/ some grease. Now it works perfectly fine.
