Anyone ever thought to put side outlet pipes on their cl?
I've had this idea for some years now and i already know what your thinking. ... so no not the exposed side pipe exhaust like on the cobra. ... on this car it would probably be discussing looking. ...
Heres what I've been thinking :
Headers
High flow cat
flex pipe down to maybe a 2.5in pipe
One pipe down
45 out to two high baffled mufflers one on either side
then exit right BEFORE the rear tires

are there any exhaust experts here that can help me create this? ??
Do you think it'll work without sacrificing power? ??

 

You will be sacrificing some serious ground clearance. Good luck getting over a speed bump. If I was going to do it I would do it right. I would find a way to come out through the lower fender and then it would look bad ass!

What I have always wondered about side exhaust... Why not aim it at the rear tires ( on a rwd). To keep the tires hot and sticky. Not so close it melts the tires or. Backs up flow. But close enough to add some heat on those puppies.
