seeking 03 CLS reputable new starter p/n
Hey all,
03 CLS MT ocassionally no starts. Looking for a reputable new starter with known compatability. Dealer part is discontinued. Does anyone have good experience with a brand other than rebuilt?
Already tried 04 TL starter from DB electric, didn't turn over more than once. out the car it works.

Also checked rockauto, napa, checker/oreilley. they only have rebuilts for MT. Autozone has a supposed new, but its over $220.
And before anyone asks, i checked the flywheel teeth. only 2 were barely nicked on new CM LFW. so kinda ruling that out

Is your CL-S a manual transmission? that model will have a premium on most parts in comparison to the automatic. I think that the starters at autozone are lifetime warranty? I went that route; not something I want to pay for again if it goes out once more. I've had mine over 6 years now no problems.
