Radiator fan chopping AC hose

Radiator fan chopping AC hose
Hi friends. New user, so take it easy on me! Here's the sitch:
AC compressor goes out
AC compressor/drier/etc. is replaced at local shop
Couple weeks later, while idling at a light, grinding/smoke and no AC
Upon inspection when I got home, looks like the radiator fan has chopped this hose in half
Take it back to the local shop where he says "you must have hit something that pushed the radiator back"
I tell him that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I'd know if I hit something hard enough to push my entire radiator back, let alone my bumper and everything behind it is 100% intact and scratch free
He agrees to replace the hose, recharge the system, and proceeds to bungee cord the hose to give it some room away from the fan.
My concern is how long this bandaid will last, how it's affecting the operation of the AC (if at all), and what I can do to properly fix it instead of this janky temporary solution. My guess is that either the aftermarket compressor or hose comes out at a different angle or has a different sweep on it and it could be fixed with OEM parts, but I'd have to order these parts to even compare them. Suggestions?

Part #3 is the hose getting mangled, if that helps.

And here's a video of the fan and hose being best buds, just in case my description was unclear: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0...nJlcXFuSlg4V2c

For reference... 01cls auto.
Your guess is right aftermarket part is not a perfect fit.
Ac should be ok long as hose is not kinked.
May or may not hold depends how they rigged.
