01 CL makes a humming noise when I turn the steering wheel! It's very noticable when I'm at a dead stop. Didn't sound like that before. I need to make the humming go away!
Please help.

 

Maybe your power steering pump/fluid, especially if the sound is louder when you are at a dead stop.

Open the hood and have someone turn the wheel (engine on, trans in park). Pump is to right of engine. You may have low fluid or a pump that is about to go.

 

top off your power steering fluid!!

 

The fluid is fill to the max level. Does the power steering fluid in your car swirl or no?
