Upon looking at the ebay link again they look like they're skinny enough to fit right in the housing but that round disc on front of the bulb might cause a fitting problem

The Honda Kit is not an exact fit into the Acura slot. You'll have to modify the frame of the urethane bumper (where the black louver sits) in order to have the Honda kit fit. There is also some cutting on the Honda kit itself but only minimal modification. The retrofitsource guys were recommending that I cut a hole in the black louver & use the matchbox projection lights but I thought that was more involved so I took the more simple way out. I am very happy with the Osram 5500K bulb I got from the retrofit source. Note that there is a plugged hole in the firewall where you can route the wire thru & it comes out on top of the gas pedal. Good luck with your project.

Thanks! I'll get the guys at the shop to install them once I get this. That way I don't see them cutting into my bumper.

I found two of these kits on eBay, one seemed to have regular bulbs, and the other had HID 6000 bulbs/set up. Like $37 and $67 respectively. Good?

I bought my kit (halogen) from Ebay for $39 shipped. But the pair of light housing smelled rubbery & looked chinsey so I set them aside. I bought a pair of Honda driving lights from a dealer in Rhode Island for $98 each shipped, because I was afraid of the quality from the former kit may not stand up to the heat. The only thing I used was the light housing frame which needs minimal modification. Also, I went a bit more expense by purchasing the Morimoto ballast 35W and the Osram 5500K for $175 from the retrofit source. So far, I've used it daily since installation this summer & everything performed excellent. I guarantee you're gonna like the 5500K HID bulb as the color is like sunlight during noon time.

You know what they always say..."you get what you paid for". For me, I wouldn't trust the $67 for the HID 6000 bulb.

Nope, Im with you. Theres a reason the yellow bulbs are typically called foul weather bulbs.

Also, HIDs in fogs is retarded. Yea, it looks cool, but fog lights are mounted so low that HIDs will glare off of wet roads making them useless to the vehicle operator and a pain in the ass for other drivers.

Well, I can attest that I've driven in numerous rainy weather with this driving light set up for the past 3 months and have not encountered any opposing traffic being pissed off at the glare.

You'll have to thank P. Diddy as he was the member who gave me all the info I needed to get this project rolling.

Will do

And yes, yellow driving, or fog lights are better in mist/fog. One, they're lower to the ground which means less light reflecting back to the driver. Which is the main reason, the water in fog & mist reflects light back to the driver's eyes, making harder to see. Just scientific stuff.

This might be a little off topic here but where could I get the Harness for these Bumper lights? If there is one.

When I bought my 2003 CL-S, it already came with them (installed by the previous owner I guess) but there's no switch to turn them on.Thanks in advance

I have an 01 cl type s and HATE the "road lamps!" They are totally useless to me...maybe others see me but that's what headlights are for. Anyways LOVE the setup guys! I've been wanting to get HID's in there but have been warned before. Thanks for the info...now to find some old accord fog lights.
