What happened:

- I was shifting from 3rd to 4th at high rpm and missed the gear. car went in to neutral but my foot went on the gas. The RPM went to its max and then came back. I safely shifted to fourth and drove the car to my destination.

What is happening:

- The car is idling rough and the CEL is on. Codes are misfires on all cylinders 13000 to 13006. The car was stalling when coming to a stop at a light or stop sign but it is not stalling anymore, however it is still idling rough.

What has been done:

- My friend who is an auto tech checked out the following:
-- Checked the timing and the timing is fine
--One bolt came off the headers, he replaced it.
--There are no cracks or leaks in the exhaust or headers

We then took the car to another mechanic who works for Acura here in the Toronto Area. He did the following:

--Checkd the plugs, they were worn but firing
--He removed the coils one by one,. The car started shaking when he removed 4 of them but on the other 2 the car barely hiccupped.
--He ran a compression test on the engine and the results were 220, 220, 200, 175, 195, 220. The 175 and 195 were the two coils where the car did not struggle too much upon removal.

--The Acura mechanic diagonosed that 2-3 of the cylinders might have bent valves (proved by the low pressure and lack of hiccups when removing the coils). The head has to be removed and sent to a machine shop. This guy is very knowledgable and nice . I just want to get an idea from the experts on AZ of what they think. I am getting new plugs anyways and thinking of getting the compression test re-done.

From what I have read from the forums, this could be caused by a bad cat, bad 02 sensor by the cat, bad plugs or coils. The mechanic feels that its neither of those and refers to the resuls of the compression test.

Should I go ahead with what the mechanic is suggesting? Is there anything else that I should try. It's going to cost me anywhere from 1000-1400.
