Seat Jammed
Just got my 05 TL about a month ago and only one of the motors to move the seat forward and back works. I want to try and replace the other.... Anyone know how to replace the motors that move the drivers seat foward and back, and where to get motors for a good price?

No, it is not an electrical short.....your gears are stuck! Pop off the plastic cover on the side of the seat by the cloth part where the seat folds.....move the carpet/cloth out of the way, and you will see the gears, Get soem WD-40 spray the hell out of them, and get a flat head screw driver in between the gears and keep hitting the switch while moving the screw driver...it will break loose.

Seat recline moved all the way back and will not move back up
I have a 2002 Lincoln LS. Seat motor not making noise, i opened up the switches on the side of the seat and i see no obvious corrosion. I have tried forcing the seat while using the switch. Nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Just to help anyone who needs it. I was vacuuming and must have hit a wire out of place. Driver seat would recline and tilt up and down but could not move back and forth. It was back all the way wich is a problem because im like 5'6. I looked under the seat from the front and saw a blueish gray plug that came un done. After plugging the two ends back together it worked. I could see a blue mark on the plug, probably a marking from the factory.

Miss McQueen, the best advice I can give, reluctantly, is if you are in a metropolitan location and have access to an Acura dealer you may want to consider taking it there and pay the 'diagnostic' fee to have your situation looked at. With that said, the reason I say 'reluctantly' is because I'm mentioning taking it to a dealership in the same sentence.
In addition, your issue may be as simple as a blown fuse(s) or as complex as faulty electrical/switch connections, faulty actuating motors/sensors et al. These seats are complex operating units and your issue may involve many electrical tests, involving the potentially faulty items in the previous sentence, that only an experienced individual, with the proper skillsets, can perform.
Good Luck!

Welcome to the forums.
Why do you want him to give you a call? You should post your question here, if you have one.
You shouldn't expect to receive a call anytime soon since the person you requested a call from hasn't logged in since 06-10-2016, alomost 4 years ago.
And even if he did, he would have to conjure up your telephone number since you didn't post one.
Unless he's a long lost friend and knows your number.

Your best bet would be to post a new thread which might gain more attention than this old old thread and get you some helpful replies.
