My stock 3.2 also just started doing this again. Had egr replaced but didn't fix it. Going in for smoke test next week. Only happens when warm and it is only off for a few minutes then restarted. When put into gear it oddly runs fine.

I had this happen 3 random times to my car, and yes it was on a decently hot day and car was warm and then restarted within 30 mins.
Turned out the be the vsa throttle neck that connects it to the actual throttle body. It was torn and I guess only those few times it made the car die. I had to rev the engine then quip it into d5 and then somehow it drove... I was baffled... Thought it was some weird random issue, till a year later I ran into the tear. It was small but that's all you need to get her to run rough. I would image tho this tear occurred because of the tb spacer puts torque on the vsa tb because it is bolted to the Trans at a fixed location so I am almost certain that played a factor. Cause the throttle body spacer adds an inch to the vsa location.. I swapped around the brackt to the back side which gave me a 1/2 inch back, but that's all I can do... Oh well.mi am not removing it lol
