hi folks. havent been on here for a while, unfortunately haven't been driving my baby for a while. my license was suspended, but that's a whole other story. @ any rate..my father has been driving the car at least once every 2 weeks, i wish it'd get driven more but figured that'd suffice.

today he tells me, the revs were jumping up and down, which brings me here to the ack gurus. any ideas and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance..

when i got home i started her up, was idling higher than it normally does. was around 1500. while i was waiting for them to go down, the tac jumped, and i saw what my dad had been talking about. jumped from 1500 up to 2100, back to 1000 and then back up to 2100 and it just kept going and going like that. i gave a tap on the throttle and it jumped up to 2500 and back to one and would just keep revving like that.

Clean or replace your IAC valve. It's been covered.

iac took the idleing down a bit but theres a vaccuum leak somewhere that is going to need to be found. thanks for your help
