Kirkland battery

Kirkland battery
I bought a Kirkland battery from Costco after reading good reviews. It fit into the space, but it is a couple inches longer than the duracel that I replaced. Because of the size difference, I cannot get the battery cover to fit back over it.
When I spoke with Costco, they told me the terminals are in the same position and that it will power my vehicle. Both of which are true. But when mentioning the size differential, they told me that the duracel was a 24 (what does this mean?) and that Costco doesn't sell those.
I find this ridiculous, if their manual tells them that they have a certain battery that will fit a specific vehicle, I would expect it to fit, otherwise they shouldn't sell it.
Anyone have this experience with the Kirkland battery? If so, please provide me with any work around you may have come up with to get the battery cover to fit. Thanks!

I had the same issue. Their books are wrong.
If you want the cover to fit, go somewhere else for the battery

My car came with a warehouse battery and it died with in the warranty period. Went to Walmart and picked up an Ever Start Maxx (the most expensive one) without any problems so far. If you have an advanced auto near you, see if you can use one of their many coupons to save on a battery. I've used a coupon code on a battery from Sears before too and I got it for cheap.
