Killswitch question

2003 Cl's have a built in kill-switch, correct? Does anyone have any info or experience regarding the effectiveness of this? My friend's 2002 TL just got stolen and it just renewed my concern. How did they steal it so easily if it has a killswitch? Wtf is the point of it if it can be overridden so easily? Any info please post or PM me.

Kill switch?

As in the transponder in the key? They could tow it.
