Hella Foglight issues
So I have had hella micro de's with a 3000k morimoto kit installed in my CL for almost five months now, they worked great for the first three but now they are acting up.
So the issue is that the passenger side light flickers and goes off immediately. It makes a a whining sound for a spilt second when it faintly flickers on and then everything stops. I have tested the ballast on the good light and both ballasts are good, and both power cords going to the separate lights are good. I tested everything on the good light by lining it up and testing both ballasts with both cords leading to them so that way each ballast was test twice.
It seems like there is bad junction as the good light will sometimes go off if you move the wires but it was for both ballasts. So the good light goes off on occasion do to the junction.
The wiring goes kinda like this:
Relay- then splits into two strands -junction-ballast-light
-junction-ballast-light
This is just from the relay and fuse back. The junctions seem like they are not very solid so I will have to replace them or splice in a new junction connector or just splice them together, but that obviously doesn't effect the passenger side light because both junction/ballast combos powered the good light on both of the strands coming down from the relay.
SO this sounds really confusing now that I reread it but I have it all typed out now so hopefully you can make some sense of it. Through this long process I get to the question of the hour....Is the light housing bad? is it my bulb? I am not sure what the fix will be.
Any help would be appreciated!
